Image Details

Once again, this image is a result of the nebulabrot rendering technique. It is the result of applying that technique to a the standard Mandelbrot function of degree seven, i.e.

\(z_{k+1} = {z_k}^7 + z_0\).

The coloring was done a little differently than usual. In the past, individual layers were colored, then the layers were “added” together, pixel by pixel. This image, on the other hand, started with a layer of white, then layers of nebulabrot renderings were subtracted. Because the base image is white, rather than black, the final image doesn’t have the space-like appearance of previous renderings.
